This is the way

My goal for the last few months has been to become a better operator when it comes to ads.

After all, if you understand the systems and processes to put $1 into advertising and get $1+ back, you can scale any offer.

The fundamentals remain true across different ad platforms and so, when you've got the fundamentals down, you're good to go with any offer.

You've just gotta learn the tactical approach for a new platform.

One of the people I've been learning from is a lady called Evelyn Weiss.

And, that lead me to a recent YT interview with her about ads (you can watch it here).

The ad stuff itself is super interesting and I'd recommend it to anyone who runs ads.

But the thing that stuck with me is Evelyn's answer to a specific question.

You see, Evelyn has a community of around 2600 people paying $49 / month for her community.

A rough calculation puts her at $120,000 per month in revenue.

She's pulling over $1M /year as a community owner.

Wanna know the weirdest bit of this though?

She hasn't yet added any high-ticket offers.

The normal stuff we all add as it's where a lot of profit is made. Stuff like...

  • 1:1 Coaching
  • Done for you services
  • Agency services

The stuff you charge big bucks.

She's hit $1M a year without them.

When asked why she hasn't done high-ticket offers or built a business that's scalable without her, she responded...

"Ultimately every business ends in the same place.
You're an owner, you have a great team that runs the business for you and you're not very involved in what you're selling anymore.
I think that I am not ready for this yet because who I want to be right now is more of a expert than a business owner.
Right now my main goal is to keep growing as a marketing expert, to keep learning, being better at my craft"

It might sound obvious.

But I speak to a lot of people trying to sell something and quickly ascend to the "I'm an expert" phase without putting in the reps.

They want to be the person who is paid super high fees for hand off advisory without first having been in the arena and learning through their own fails and wins.

I rarely speak to people who are saying "I want to become the best at this", they just want to see something as if they are the best at it.

One follows the other, and a lot of folk have it backwards.

This attitude Evelyn has is the reason she's winning.

And if you want to win, I recommend doing the same.

Put the hours in and become the best at what you do, then the high ticket sales will follow because you'll have the knowledge to be a genuine expert.

That's my primary goal in 2025.

What's yours?

P.S.

The big money is always made on the high-ticket offer. We all know this, and so we all push it. But if you're trying to get strategers to spend $5k of their hard-earned cash with you - a stranger - within a day or two of them finding you, you're going way too fast. I recorded a detailed video explaining how to get strangers to pay you $5k+ within 7-30 days. You can watch it here. I love a deal. I'll research a new product I'm gonna buy like mad so I know I'm getting the best version at the best price. It's common in a lot of B2C purchases, right? Hell, even in some things like insurance there are dedicated comparison shopping sites. Here's the weird thing though. I'm seeing more and more comparison shoppers for B2B offers. I've spoken to a few coaches, agencies, and consultants recently who are seeing the same thing. They're getting people on the phone, but those...
