A couple of days ago, a member of GM+ took to the attached free community and wrote out a post asking what's holding people back from joining GM+.
I don’t know how many here inside the free community still read any of these posts or read Pete’s emails that he sends out, but he’s been hinting at a price increase for his membership for a couple of days now.
I just wanted to share briefly my experience, and see if there was anything that was holding anyone back from joining in before the price increases next month.
(NOTE: I’ve got no financial gain in sharing my experiences here, and since most of us are marketers here, I’m not here to FOMO anyone or try to throw out a bunch of psychological benefits about how GM+ is the best place for you. I’m really just here to see if we can have an honest discussion on what’s holding some of ya’ll back from joining the community, since we need guys and gals like you inside to keep it thriving.
Quick context of who I am - I’m just another marketer trying to grow and scale his business. I’ve been in the digital marketing space for 7 years now, and own several niche sites - one that currently makes 6 figures annually)
I just finished my first full month inside the community, and honestly, I’m a little surprised that I haven’t join sooner.
Personally, between you and me, I can talk about business. All. Day. Long. (Just ask my wife, haha), and this community has finally filled something that I’ve been missing for a very long time.
It’s almost like I’m in a place where I can not only be myself and speak marketing jargon that others understand, but it’s also a place where you bounce ideas off each other and discover tactics that you just might not have ever thought about before.
For example, just in the month of December alone, the community (with Pete doing most of the work) has discussed and built out the following business tactics…
1. an email sequence model Pete’s dubbed the ‘ascension model’ that will help your clients ‘ascend’ from a low ticket offer to your mid to high ticket offers (The G doc he was working on was 20 pages long!?)
2 .a “validation“ email sequence model that helps your clients use your low ticket offer (i.e. validate the offer with your new customer), so that the ascension email sequence is so much stronger (since your clients would then know that what you offer actually does work)
3. A business goal tracker that doesn’t just break down your business goal into a quarterly, a monthly and a weekly action-step plan, BUT it also makes sure that your actual business goal is inline with what and where you actually want to end up within your life (i.e. if you don’t want to be working 60+ hours, then your actual business goal better reflect that - I”ve filled this out myself, twice, V1 draft and V2 draft, and I have so much better clarity of where I’m going with this new business venture I’m taking on in 2025).
These are just a few of the highlights of the great, great stuff going on in the community.
I say that the ‘community’ built them out. And while the reality is that Pete is really doing the building (and we’re providing the feedback), Pete has always made it clear (to me at least) that at the end of the day, he’s just another business operator like us, who is just looking to learn, grow and scale.
He’s willing to hear our ideas, take constructive feedback on what he’s building out, and provide a safe place for everyone to feel comfortable to voice their opinions, even if he or others would disagree.
It really does feel like a community (and not like a “let’s follow this marketing ‘guru’ who knows everything” kind of membership).
Now, having said that, Pete does make sure that everyone is getting the ‘Growth Models” that they need - every week, he’s helping each of the individuals inside with their specific business issues, and if there is someone who he thinks has better expertise than him, he’ll mention them (or tag them).
Just a side note - something that did impressed about Pete is his marketing knowledge base - I’ve personally discussed with him strategies and ideas for higher tiered products for my 6-figure business, he showed me where I’m losing subscribers, and he’s been able to discuss, in length and detail, a plethora of marketing topics and niches (I run 3 different niche websites with each marketing strategy a little different, and he was able to speak into each of them without any difficulty).
Simply put, Pete is able to relate his experience and expertise to whatever business I had, and provide expert advice. Which at the end of the day is really what we’re all looking for - expert advice to help us scale our business, right?
Everything I’ve shared above is the main reason why I just changed my membership from monthly to yearly. And also purchased another subscription for someone from my team to join, and plan on having another one or two of my team joining in. Pete has some great things coming to this community in 2025 and I, and my team, are excited to be a part of what’s going to happen.
Anyways, all the above to say that if anyone is on the fence and wondering if they should join or not, I’d recommend doing it.
Try it for a month.
The worst that happens is that you lose a little business cash.
The best that happens is that you not only lock in the best pricing, but you finally grow your business to where you always dreamed of taking it.
As I said in the beginning though, drop your comments below on what’s holding you back - I’d love to hear them 👍
Big thanks to Andrew for sharing that with zero prompting from me.
And if you want to get access to the abiove, and more, you can join GM+ here.
Price increase will be happening in a few days, so get in while it's cheap.
