It's alive

I was pretty quiet last week, deep in build mode for the new book deal business I'm testing.

The good news?

99% of the infrastructure for the site is built, and working as it should be.

It's auto-updated every day with the latest Kindle deals (will expand to more book types in time) of 30% or more price drop.

We add them to the site, and email people of new deals within their preferred genres that same day so they can save some money.

It's essentially a deal watch and notification site for books.

The bad news?

Having some issues with data accuracy, we're pulling from APIs.

I'm currently dependent on third-party APIs where the data is sometimes a little stale, and it's lead to some out-of-date deals being added. I'm working on that right now.

The "still to do" news?

Along with fixing the data issues, I need to build the promotional system. This is planned out, but I just need to build it over the next ~48 hours.

In the meantime, the one thing that this site really needs is direct access to the Amazon API.

As mentioned, I'm having to use third party APIs for book deals as Amazon limits access to their API.

To get access to the Amazon API, I need to have driven 10 affiliate sales to Amazon within the last 30 days. Which I haven't done with this new business.

So I'm asking a favour.

It costs you nothing extra, but gets me approved for the Amazon APi for better data. Of course, I will get paid like 4% of the order value, but I realy don't care about that right now.
