The free AI foundation

Well, my 2 week vacation ends and I'm heading back home over the weekend.

It's been great as it's helped me come up with a few new ideas and things that should help you in your business - especially when it comes to AI.

The main thing is the free AI Foundation Framework.

It's the starting structure I run inside all my own businesses, stripped of the brand-specific stuff, and turned into something you can drop into your own setup in about 15 minutes.

It's built around 2 key layers...

Layer 1: The drop-in.

This is the base line stuff that's active from day 1, no need for any customisation. And this is what it does...

... It strips em dashes, hedging, validating reframes, and the marketer-speak ("leverage", "unlock", "synergy", "transformative") that makes AI output sound like AI output.
... It teaches Claude to push back instead of agreeing with everything you say.
... It teaches Claude to state assumptions and surface tradeoffs instead of just executing your prompt.
... It includes the hygiene rules I run across all my businesses.

If you run the same task without and then with this, I'm 1000% sure you'll see an improvement.

Layer 2: The personalisation.

This is the bit that makes it about YOUR business.

I've added a simple "get started" prompt which will run thorugh a few basic Qs for you to answer. These answers will form part of the new training for the AI to make it more closely aligned with you and your business.

After running it, the next time the AI is spun up, it already knows...

On the objections I know are coming...

"I'm not technical, this sounds like dev stuff."

If you can edit a Google Doc, you can install this. You don't need to write code, you don't need to use a terminal. You clone a repo or copy-paste a file and use it in the Claude Desktop app. The walkthrough video shows you exactly where each thing goes.

"I tried CLAUDE.md before and it didn't stick."

This isn't a CLAUDE.md. It's an architecture, with the proper file hierarchy and load order we talked about in the last few emails. As is the case with most AI training now, the Claude.md file is simply one part of a wider architecture. Without the rest, it's not gonna help. This is giving you the rest.

"I'm in ChatGPT, not Claude Code."

I've built this around Claude Code because it's the easiest to use right now, and the most popular for getting stuff done. But the architecture can just as easily be applied to other agentic LLMs like Codex or whatever.

I'll be back at my desk properly from Tuesday.

And I'll have this all ready to go ASAP after that.
