When AI already knows you
|
Picture the typical session with Claude, or any other AI for that matter. You sit down to write a sales page. For the first 15 minutes you're typing out all the basic information like... ... who it's for Even with all of that info, the output is pretty generic and requires a lot of tweaking. But, overall you've saved time. That is until... ... The next session when you're trying to write an email to promote this new sales page. The Ai has forgotten everything. Which means, you've gotta re=-teach it... ... who it's for And of course how the sales page works so it has reference on that next step. A week later, you jump into social content, and once again, you've gotta re-teach it everything. Most of us have given up at some point and written the thing ourselves cause it's faster than re-briefing a goldfish. This is the reality for most people using AI because they're still using it as a simple task completion assistant. There's no persistent information, instruction, or history of what you've done. No foundation of who you serve, how you serve them, and how it actually works. That foundation is key to long-term success with AI in your business. If you can set this up once, every single time you start a new task, the AI knows your ICP, offer, voice, what makes you different, and everything else it needs to know to do a job that's 10X better than "out of the box" Chat GPT. When you go to write a sales page, the foundation already knows who's buying and what tone hits them. When you go to draft an email, it already knows your offer, your recent promo, the language you use with these readers. When you're in strategy mode, asking whether to run this offer or drop that channel, the foundation already knows what's worked in your business and what you've ruled out. When you brief a designer or hand off to a contractor, the foundation already holds the brand context that's normally locked in your head. This is why you need a proper file structure, and foundational instruction for your AI agents. As soon as you have it, you start getting output that's 90% of the way to complete on the first attempt. If you're still using prompts and Custom GPTs, now's the time to change it and start building that foundation. If you're not sure how, I'm putting together a free framework that you can quickly install in your business and get better results. I'm still on vacation, but next week I should have this ready to go. Keep an eye on upcoing emails for more info. Pete "no more re-briefing the goldfish" Boyle |
