Hoovering up lost dollars

I've worked with enough people over the years to know that there's likely easy revenue sitting in your audience which you're overlooking.

And I wanna give you a few tips on how to...

  1. Extract that revenue
  2. Help more people
  3. Add a little more predictability to your growth

Here's the thing.

Most people with an audience will send 2 kinds of content.

  1. Basic engagement stuff to get people to like, comment, read etc.
  2. "Buy now" type content

Both have their place, but things can also be better.

One of the major issues I see is the "buy now" content is often as complex as that.

They'll send loads of messages which are just variants of "buy now". We're talking things like...

  • Introducing [OFFER]
  • Check out the new [OFFER]
  • What does the [OFFER] do?
  • Last chance for [OFFER]

This can work for the people who are ready to buy.

But if the first "buy now" message didn't work, there's nothing new in the next 6 to convince people that this is for them.

Here's the simple reframe you need to make with this.

I've found it's way more effective to take your focus off the reasons they should buy...

... and instead look at removing the reasons they shouldn't buy.

Look, your audience might all fir within one specific customer avatar.

But, they're all individuals, and they all have different reasons to not want to buy.

... some will be price sensitive
... some will want to know HOW it works
... some will want to know if it'll work for them

There's loads of different reasons why someone might talk themselves out of buying.

Your job is to craft messages that...

  1. Sequentially remove those barriers
  2. Built trust in you and the offer
  3. Make the person feel safe and comfortable spending money with you

When you build this system that does this, you're gonna make more sales.

Here's the cool thing.

You can build this system right now (should take like a week) and send it to your audience to prompt the "almost ready to buy" people to take the plunge.

Then, you can set this as an evergreen sequence to convince new leads and customers to spend more money with you without having to lift a finger again.

If you don't have a good system for this in place, join the Ascension Workshop I'm running on Tuesday.

I'll explain how to build this system and give you an example version that's worked well to convert one-time buyers into repeat purchasers.

You could take the info and add it into your business in a week, and start seeing new sales rolling in within 2 weeks.

Yesterday I mentioned "The Thread." That invisible line connecting your first ad or cold outreach to the moment a client signs a contract for the big thing. And when you're getting fewer sales for the "big thing", most founders think the solution is to simply add "more." More leads. More SDRs. More ad spend. But if your "Thread" is broken, "More" is just an expensive way to realise your system is leaking. I mean, if you've got a bucket with no bottom, throwing more water in the top isn't...

I’m starting the outreach for a new business venture today. Most people at this stage do the 'tactical' thing... They buy a list Hire a virtual assistant to spam LinkedIn asking for a call or promoting the offer And hope for a 1% reply rate. A huge waste of capital and time. With the new venture, I've spent the last week building out the architecture behind the offer. I’ve been mapping the 'Thread' that connects the first touchpoint to the final contract. Most businesses, even those doing...

I’m curious... What AI are you actually using? Or are you just "collecting" subscriptions? We’ve been debating this in GM+ lately because, frankly, the shine has worn off OpenAI for me. To give you some context, I’ve been an OpenAI power user since the start. But the 5.2 release? It’s woeful. I spend more time arguing with the "Custom GPTs" than I do getting actual work done. I guess they told it to stop being so sycophantic, now it's like a petulant little kid who doesn't like when you tell...
