How long does it take?

Someone comes into your business through a freebie lead magnet or low-ticket offer.

How long is it before they decide to pony up some cash?

It's a debate we've been having in GM+ and people have shared their experiences. I'm piecing some stats together from different posts and convos for this, so the math is a little rough.

Anyway...

First, you can expect about 10% of free leads to become paying customers.

If you attract people with a low-ticket offer (even as low as $1), these customers convert to higher ticket purchases up to 12X more than freebie seekers.

Of the above...

  • 70-90% of them will make a purchase within the first 30-60 days of joining your list
  • There's then a sharp drop off in sales
  • Each subsequent month you'll see some sales roll in, but it'll be slower and slower each month until it dies off

Some people see the sales stop rolling in after 3 months.

Others have sales rolling in up to 8 months down the line.

Either way, it's the first ~30 days where the most action happens.

But this is ONLY possible if you have...

A decent ascension system.

I'm not talking about a simple string of emails where you send basic info and "please buy now" links.

You need a well thought out and designed ascension system. Something that builds trust and pre-sells customers on your high ticket offers with a proven approach.

We've been refining a killer ascension system you can quickly install in your business to turn your leads and low-ticket customers into high-ticket clients.

And I'm sharing the whole thing in an upcoming workshop you can get the full details on here.

The system is based on a couple of simple, but insanely powerful, behavioural triggers.

You'll learn all about the 9-stages of trust you need to progress people through, the basic formula that dictates when most people feel confident in giving you cash, and how to build a system around them.

It's an hour-long (ish) workshop, and I'm throwing in some examples, templates, and a Q&A about this as well.

All the details are here.

And if you can't make the time but still want to get this info, sign up and you'll get access to the replay.

Speak soon,

One thing that’s worth clearing up. The idea of using multiple low-ticket offers to activate buyers isn’t new. And it’s not something I invented with the Monthly Offer System. It’s just how businesses that care about predictable revenue actually operate. If you look at the companies that sell a lot, consistently, you’ll see the same structure show up again and again. Years back I did a breakdown of a billion dollar newsletter brand, The Agora. They don’t have one offer. They don’t have one...

The reason most people struggle to sell consistently isn’t effort. It’s that everything depends on them. ... They have to decide what to sell.... Figure out when to sell it.... Work out how to promote it....Then do it all again next month. When you're doing that from step 0 every month, it's exhausting. I'm tired even thinking about it. This "I have to do it all myself from scratch" appraoch doesn;t scale. It also explains why sales fall apart the moment you get busy, distracted, or tired....

There’s a very specific stress that comes from not knowing what you’re going to sell next. You feel it when revenue dips and you think... “Shit… I don’t actually have anything lined up.” You feel it when you open your email tool and just stare at the screen. Not because you don’t want to sell, but because you don’t know what makes sense to sell right now. You feel it when you’ve already promoted your main offer, and all you can do is promote the exact same thing again. You know most people...
