Playing it safe...

“We are kept from our goal not by obstacles but by a clear path to a lesser goal.”

This quote is probably from some great thinker, but I know of it through a subscriber who responded to yesterday's email.

They sent me their thoughts and questions around staying the course and building towards one big thing instead of pursuing multiple smaller (and often safer) bets.

We ended on the thought that a lot of the time, it's all about belief.

Believing in what you're working on enough to feel confident saying no to distractions that might look good, but ultimately don't serve your end goal and desire.

He then hit me with that quote which I think sums up most people's issue (my own included) perfectly.

We all tend to settle for the easy to achieve goals, when we're capable of so much more.

The issue is not in our ability, but in actually planning out a route to those bigger goals, and believing in ourselves to the point that we actually - really - pursue them.

So, here's my question to you.

2025 is just a few days away.

You should now be taking stock of what you achieved in 2024 and mapping out what you want to achieve in 2025.

I want to know if you're...

...Setting goals that excite (and maybe scare) you...

... or settling for smaller goals you're comfortable achieving?

Are you...

... Pushing yourself to new levels in 2025 and working towards that next big milestone...

... or planning to simply maintain the staus quo of your life?

I dunno about you, but I'm planning out what could be my best year ever in 2025.

I've been working with the people in GM+ to build a simple sheet to help keep us all motivated, aligned, and achieving in 2025.

And I wanted to extend the invitation to join us in planning our best ever years to you.

Push yourself. Future you will thank you.

Quick note before the weekend. I’ve had a few replies this week from people who are looking for help scaling in 2026. I’m booking the last couple of calls for this opportunity. If you’re thinking: “I should probably look at this, but I’ll come back to it later” You might want to at least look at getting in touch. I dunno what my availability is gonna be like later and, if I'm near capacity, I'm more likely to see how I can fit someone I've spoken into the schedule. So if you think that maybe...

Wanna know what the biggest sign of a lack of strategy is? It’s indecision. If you lack any kind of strategy, everything can feel like it's the right move. You end up getting caught with the whole analysis paralysis thing where... ... More ads could help.... More content could help.... A new offer could help.... A new channel could help. So nothing gets ruled out. Everything gets added to a "to-do" list and everyone starts feeling overwhelmed, not really knowing where to start. That’s when...

Picture this... You've identified the problem in your business. Where things break down and money is being lost. You analyse, design the fix, and set everyone on the path to implementing that fix. Time to pop the champaign right? Nope. After you've built that awesome fix, you see... nothing. No improvements, no meaningful changes, no new sales. And you're back to square one. It's a problem I see a lot. People fixing the symptom, but completely missing the cause. here's what I mean. I worked...
