This morning I was analysing a quiz funnel for GM+.
Decent ad. Simple flow. Looks clean on the surface.
But there’s one issue that’ll kill his results completely… and a lot of people are making the same mistake without realising.
He built a funnel that prioritises quantity, not quality.
Here’s what I mean.
The ad attracts the wrong crowd
His whole front-end message is “grab this free thing”.
Cheap clicks. Big volume.
But it drags in the exact people who never buy anything. The freebie crowd will keep you busy but never pay you.
You already know that.
The quiz completely misses the point
Three questions. No branching logic.
Anyone can click through like it’s a BuzzFeed quiz.
One of his questions is ad spend… yet he sends everyone to the same next step.
If someone is spending 0–3k a month, they’re not a fit for an agency or consulting service.
You already know how that goes: the £500 client who nitpicks everything, asks 400 questions, and never implements.
The £50k client just wants it done.
But he's treating these 2 groups as the same, and filling his pipeline with trash.
The thank-you page makes it worse
After the quiz, everyone lands on the “Book a free strategy consult” page.
No segmentation. No filtering.
Just a blanket invitation for 30 minutes of free advice.
You can guess what fills your calendar when you do this...
... People not running ads
... People running tiny budgets
... People who want a free audit and then vanish
And because he’s paying for traffic… he’ll be lucky if the rare good-fit client even covers the cost of the bad leads.
This is the trap most consultants fall into.
Not because they’re bad at what they do, but because they're using an outdated system that's broken in today's marketing world.
They've built a system that attracts browsers instead of buyers.
Here’s the better way.
Build something that...
- Attracts serious buyers from the ad itself
No more “here’s a free thing”.
Lead with the real message to cut out curiosity clicks.
Serious buyers respond to clarity, not carrots.
- Self-liquidates fast
Low-ticket on the front end instantly cuts out the tyre-kickers.
And because it pays you back quickly, you can scale without fear.
- Introduces the high-ticket offer when they’re ready
Get them a quick win.
Build trust.
Then move them into a structured ascension that removes hesitations and positions the next step naturally.
- Turns customers into your best referrals
Happy buyers bring in more buyers.
Simple as that.
This is exactly why I built ACCER.
It filters out the people who will waste your time and pulls in the ones who can actually pay, move fast, and get results.
And once the system is up, it practically runs itself.
More time spent on real conversations.
Less time dealing with “have you got 30 minutes to pick your brain”.
I’m taking on a couple more people to build this with before 2026 hits.
If you want a system that brings in serious buyers and filters out the rest, hit reply and say ACCER so I can send you the details of working with me.
