What have you done?

Yo!

So in the free community (you can check it out here) I've implemented a little "kick up the arse" accountability feature.

At the start of the week, you can outline what you want to get done and ask for help from the community.

At the end of the week, you list what you've achieved, what you wanna do next week, and can ask for more help.

It's new, but I'd love for you to join in.

The thread for it is here, and I've pasted today's entry from yours truly below.

------

  1. In the last week I managed to add ~1700 email subs which I’m pretty happy about.

Downside is about another 1000 new subscribers were auto bounced from my ESP. Weiord as they were bounced as soon as they were added. Either fake emails or a problem, but we're looking ito a fix to bring them over as well.

2. Also kicked off a new experiment for a biz idea I’ve been sitting on for a while. Trying to get it spun up today to check how valid it all is.

3. Created a simple system to turn long-form video into short-form social posts. It’s working well to start growing the views on my YouTube channel which I wanna do more of.

Plans for next week are…

  • Keep the new video strat going
  • Get those email subs approved
  • Close out a client engagement I’ve almost completed and get that closing payment
  • Work on closing 1-2 more coaching students from the new subs
  • Properly test the new biz idea when I get the system running

If you want to join in and get a little bit more accountability in your life, check out the thread and join the community here.

I've gotta get back to work and finish off the day so I can chill out and spend the entire weekend watching the Euros.

Speak soon,

Pete

Picture this... You've identified the problem in your business. Where things break down and money is being lost. You analyse, design the fix, and set everyone on the path to implementing that fix. Time to pop the champaign right? Nope. After you've built that awesome fix, you see... nothing. No improvements, no meaningful changes, no new sales. And you're back to square one. It's a problem I see a lot. People fixing the symptom, but completely missing the cause. here's what I mean. I worked...

If we were to sit down and go through all the things I've done right in my career, and then all the things I've done wrong... ... the time split would be like a 10/90 split. I've failed so much more than succeeded over the years. They're good teaching moments. But, one of the more dangerous things in business isn’t choosing the wrong tactic. It’s committing to it. Once you’ve got buy-in from yourself or your team, you want it to work. So you keep pushing it longer than you should. Case in...

A big name marketer shared the results of a study he did last week on how brands are marketing in 2026. Long story short, most of them are... Cutting ad spend Cutting content/online PR Removing agencies ... all because the lead quality is trash. It went on to explain how people are moving back to in-person marketing and the established methods are dying off. Which ain't exactly true. Look, brands are cutting spend. And yeah, I agree that in-person stuff - or at least non AI stuff - is gonna...
