Does design matter?

How important is design for you?

As in, you see two ads...

  • One is well designed
  • The other is a basic Canva template

... which one do you click on?

And when you get to the sales page, do you prefer...

  • A basic design that doesn't have that high-end veneer
  • Something that looks swish and has obviously had a pro make sure it's pixel-perfect

Which one of these approaches will build more trust with you?

It's a genuine question I have and I'd love it if you hit reply to let me know.

Why am I asking?

Well, for years I've been the guy who does way more just by getting it to "good enough" status.

I can knock up sales pages, ads, or emails in minutes when others take days.

I'm still a believer that a good offer and well crafted copy is all you need.

But I was curious to see if spending some extra time on my assets to make them look "premium" would affect sales.

So, last week I spent a lot of time zhuzhiung up the sales material for the $1 PC.

I redesigned...

  • The sales page to look a little more put together
  • The VSL to include a real script, background music, and B-roll
  • The ads that lead to the sales page

You can check out the new sales page here.

The whole process was to see if me taking a little bit longer on the sales element would really make that much of a difference...

Or if I should continue to just throw up as many new offers as possible and focus on the offer itself and the copy.

Data will prove out which one works better.

but I'm curious what your gut reaction to this kind of thing is.

Does great design make you trust an offer more and get you to open your wallet?

Or is "good enough", good enough to get you to spend?

I soft-launched a new offer recently, the custom $1 Product Blueprint build, and it reminded me of something people forget about when it comes to helping prospects. Quick note before I get into it. I’m opening a few DFY strategy build slots again. If you want me to build your growth system for you, reply and I’ll share the details. So, the new offer has a super simple onboarding approach... ... A little while back, my downspout from our roof terrace was blocked. I'd look out of the window and see the hoppers filling with water, which then spilled all over the side of the house. Obviously, not ideal, but I could easily fix this myself... or at least I thought it was. I grabbed a drain snake and got to work after an hour or so of rattling that snake around, I patted myself on the back for a job well done. Yet when the next rain came, it overflowed again. Turns out there were more...

Yo! So I'm flirting with the idea of low-ticket done-for-you services. I've seen a couple of people shift this way and I want to test it. I mean, I've got the templates, systems, and proof to make this work. I just need a handful of people (I'm thinking 3-5) to help me work out the kinks. If you're up for it, hit reply and let me know. If you want more info, here's the detail. I'm of the opinion low-ticket offers will move on from the common... Info-based courses Fill-in-the-blank templates...
