A chap I worked with a little while back hit a solid milestone.
Something most people would kill for.
He was making around $200 / day on a $70 ad spend which is way better than 99% of people manage. Here’s a daily snapshot he sent me (with a question about how to make even more).
Here’s the thing.
If you watched the video in my last email, you already know that’s not $6,000/month going into his pocket.
- $70 of that daily revenue goes straight to ad spend.
- That drops it to $130/day profit (~$3,900/month).
- Then we take out software, hosting, email platforms, say another $900/month.
Now we’re down to about $3K/month in actual profit.
Still solid, especially from a $7 book.
But when you factor in tax, effort, and scale potential, it’s not quite the dream people are chasing.
That’s why I never rely on front-end sales alone.
Here’s what we did:
We added a mid-ticket upsell strategy, simple workshop offers, tailored to the people who had already bought the $1 product.
The result?
We went from “solid” to “seriously profitable.”
Because this is what it comes down to:
The $1 product isn’t your business, it’s the door.
Your real job is to lead those buyers to their next step.
Help them solve the next problem, and they’ll pay you more to do it.
Get this right, and that little $1 product becomes fuel for your profit-driving offers.
